The title of Fellow of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF Fellow) is an honorary title awarded to healthcare professionals working in the field of diabetes.

IDF Fellows may be called upon to participate in the activities of the Federation, from conferences and research to education and advocacy.The goals of the IDF Fellowship programme are to:

  • Foster a global community of diabetes experts to promote knowledge exchange and help strengthen the global diabetes response.
  • Enhance the knowledge, skills and career prospects of healthcare professionals currently working in diabetes.
  • Acknowledge the contributions of exceptional medical and allied healthcare professionals who are, or have recently been, active in the field of diabetes or related disciplines.
